If you are looking for the largest Korean neighborhood in Japan, check out the Korea Town in Osaka! Lately, my mother is obsessed with Korean Drama, food and of course BTS and since she joined me to my Osaka/Kyoto trip, she wanted to do a quick lunch stop at the Osaka Ikuno Korea Town. I have been to Tokyo’s Korea Town in Shin-Okubo many years ago, so I was very excited to discover Osaka’s Little Seoul! The Korean area can easily be reached from Osaka Namba respectively Tsuruhashi station. There is a market just next to Tsuruhashi with an unique underground vibe, so make sure to check this street before heading to the main shopping street. We did not have much time on that day so we only walked through a small part of it. The Korean market street was easy to find, stores were selling the latest Korean cosmetics, K-pop merch, food and – not to forget – Kimchi :)! I wish we had more time to explore the cafés and supermarkets. We ended up having lunch at the restaurant called ‘Korea Town Kankokukateiryōri Haha no Aji’.
