Where to find a Swiss Fondue House in Lucerne

I cannot remember when I last went out and strolled around Lucerne – it must have been quite a while ago! Last Friday, my bf joined me to this wonderful city, where we had kind of a short trip combined with a date. First of all, we had a quick coffee break at the Heini Pflanzcafé. The interior changed completely compared to last time – it felt like an urban jungle! I highly recommend their vegetable soup, it is so delicious! After heating up a little bit, we walked around the old town of Lucerne, did a bit of sightseeing and went (window) shopping. I also wanted to have a quick look at the Asian shop (ASIAWAY) and we found there some really cool Dragon Ball/Sailor Moon themed beverage. At the end of the day, we actually wanted to have dinner (I was craving for the Swiss cheese dish Fondue) at Pfistern, one of my favourite Swiss restaurant around Lucerne – unfortunately, the outside terrace, where they usually serve more than 100 different fondues, was not open at the time we arrived… we checked the internet and we decided to go to the Fondue House Du Pont instead, which was open earlier. And the best thing: it was literally just around the corner (1min from the Pfistern restaurant). As fate would have it, we got a nice table with an amazing view to the Chapel Bridge! We ordered both a fondue with herbs and the atmosphere as well as the fondue was perfect. After dinner, we could have a glimpse of some of the creative light illuminations, which were installed all around Lucerne city. It was the LILU (Light Festival), so we could see some amazing lightworks before we went home.
