Muji Pop-Up Store Switzerland Zurich

Dear readers and japanlovers,

Good news for all you people living in Switzerland and who love the practical daily goods from Japan. MUJI finally arrived in our country! If you have never heard about this store – MUJI offers a wide variety of Japanese products primary in household goods, apparel and food. All the products are kept simple and basic and is that’s why a welcome addition to almost every household. At the moment you can visit and buy some of the products at the MUJI pop-up store until 26 June 2019 at the Glatt Shopping Centre. The MUJI main store will be open around October 2019. I went recently there with my Mum to check out the goods they have. The product range is still small and a lot of top sellers were already sold out, but I hope this will change in Autumn when the big store opens. I bought the butter chicken curry and the strawberries coated with white chocolate. My Mum got herself a water pot (it’s great for cold tea) and a little storage box. MUJI is a nice start and I hope UNIQLO (or DAISO) will follow soon – let’s keep fingers crossed!

  1. I’m so glad that MUJI is gradually opening more stores outside Japan. I hope they succeed, so more and more are opened worldwide.
Here we’ve been flooded by stores that claim to be Japanese (or Korean) but they’re all Chinese. I like their products, but I don’t think it’s fair. I wish that after seeing the huge hit that those Chinese stores have been, actual Japanese brands come and open their stores too.
