I recently had the opportunity to go hiking and it was an experience that left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. We started our hiking adventure in Langis at 10:00 in the morning. Whether you are into skiing, hiking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, Langis in Sarnen, Obwalden has something to offer for everyone!

If you are planning to visit Langis Obwalden and coming with your car, it is essential to arrive early to avoid parking problems. The area is quite popular (particularly during peak seasons and on sunny days) and parking spots can fill up quickly!

The sun was shining and the air was crisp, making it the perfect weather for a day of exploration in the great outdoors. As we set out on the trail, we were greeted by stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests. After hiking for around two hours, we arrived at a beautiful wooden mountain house, where we took a rest. A friend brought a little picnic, which added to the overall enjoyment of the experience. The picturesque surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for our outdoor meal! The quick snack and warm winter punch provided a welcome break and fueled us for the challenging hike back to the starting point. The exciting snowshoeing activity had left us with a big appetite and we were eager to find a cozy place to have lunch. We ended up at a charming mountain restaurant called Bergrestaurant Schwendi-Kaltbad. I had a delicious Swiss dish with melted cheese – it was the perfect meal after a cold winter’s day!

Although I don’t usually enjoy outdoor activities (especially in winter), my experience in Langis was surprisingly enjoyable! Snowshoeing was a fantastic way to break out of my routine and experience something new. The fresh air and physical activity were just what I needed to recharge my batteries and come back to my daily life feeling refreshed. I’m excited to see what’s next!
