The Sunshine City shopping mall is always on my bucket list, when I visit Japan. It has a Pokémon Center, all my favourite clothing stores, cute shops and also a nice choice of restaurants and cafés. Pikachu Sweets, a dessert and beverage concept of the Pokémon Café, opened at the end of 2019 together with the Pokémon Go Lab. and as you probably could imagine, I wanted to go there so badly! The cakes and dessert looked so good on the pictures – and today I can say that it also tastes amazing!

So, instead of my usual breakfast (Shokupan & Matcha Latte), I decided to have a sweet treat at the Pikachu Sweets Café before my shopping tour around the mall. The café opened on time at 10am and I ordered a Pikachu Strawberry Cake, a Pikachu Soda and a ‘Get’ Latte. The cake came in one of the most beautiful packaging and the it looked absolutely adorable. Due to the pandemic, you cannot currently eat inside the café, but you can stay as long as you like to take some pictures. However, there is a picnic place outside on the upper floor of the mall, where you can enjoy your treats.
