Hi Loves!
I was organizing my blog posts, so I stopped blogging for a while. So sorry! Anyway, let me show you the most biggest and very modern Aquarium-Vivarium in Switzerland. If I am not wrong, it is even the largest freshwater aquarium-vivarium in Europe. The official opening was last year in October 2017. I found a nice offer from the Swiss Federal Railways (they have a lot of affordable offers, so check it out!) where you can get a reduction on the fare and the entry ticket. The aquarium lies in Lausanne, the French-part of Switzerland. The trip took us quite a while (almost 3 hours), but train rides are always fun with my mum and time goes by quickly when you have a deep conversation or watching Animes.
We arrived around lunch time or the early afternoon – can’t remember. From Lausanne main station, it is just a 10 minutes ride with the Metro M2 (Direction Croisettes). Leave the metro at Vennes station and the Aquarium will be right there. If you bought your tickets from SBB online or from a SBB counter, you need to change your voucher at the cashier desk at the entrance. You can leave your jacket and stuff for free in the locker before you enter the aquarium. The aquarium is super modern with all the illuminations and what I like the most was the mirrors on the floor (be careful if you wear a skirt!!). It made the aquarium look bigger and very beautiful. The variety of fishes and animals is big. You can also see rodents, snakes and other reptiles. They also had a small rainforest, what was really nice. At the end, you can buy some souvenirs or have lunch or a small snack at the restaurant. All in all, it was a great experience, since I love aquariums and we don’t have any in Switzerland (expect the little ones in the zoo).
