Hi Loves,
Here comes the promised post about the day trip to Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Marken! A visit to Amsterdam and the Netherlands would not be complete without having seen the lovely Dutch countryside – right? I booked the tour online in advance on veltra.com. The excursion was organised by Lindbergh Tour & Travel. We started at the Lindbergh office in Amsterdam city, where we first picked up our main ticket for the excursion. Our travel guide joined us to the coach and our first stop was Zaanse Schans – a picturesque windmill village with stunning buildings and charming peat meadow landscapes. There we had the opportunity to have a look inside a windmill. It was very interesting to see how they work. After our visit to Zaanse Schans, we moved to the famous and lively fishing village of Volendam. With our tour group went to a cheese factory/museum. We had lunch in the village and had a lovely boat trip to Marken, where we visited a local traditional clog maker. The whole trip took about 5,5h and the tour made super fun. The excursion to the countryside was absolutely worth it~♪

Hi Miho! Despite the gloomy weather this trip looked like a lot of fun~ The picturesque cottages, cobble stone roads, and windmills are beautiful. I especially liked the Miffy’s in the window saying Hi.
