Have you ever thought about how to get 360-degree view of London for free? I recommend you to book a ticket at the Sky Garden! The view is not the only reason why to get there – the lovely garden and the tasty treats up there are also worth a visit. I wanted to give you some tips about getting a Sky Garden ticket, since I have been there many times. So if you want a ticket, there are two option: book a table at one of the restaurants or an ordinary ticket just for your visit. From my experience, I recommend you to book a table online because A) the ordinary visitor tickets are book out very quickly and B) it is most likely that you will find a free time slot when you reserve at a restaurant. I don’t recommend the Fenchurch Restaurant or the Darwin Brasserie, because the menu there is quite pricy (unless you really want to eat there). The Sky Pod Bar is a good choice, especially for breakfast (and if you don’t want to order anything, it is fine). I recommend you to go early in the morning either way. You will have less people and you can take pictures without a mass of tourist and locals. Keep in mind to book early enough, the tickets can be booked from the today’s date until the next two months.
When you made the reservation, make sure to arrive one hour or at least thirty minutes before the reservation time to pass through the building’s compulsory security checks. Arriving at the upper level, enjoy your view with a cup of coffee or tea. You can have different pastries, cakes, scones (my recommendation), fresh fruits and more. Everything is very delicious. If the weather is good, you can enjoy your view from the outdoor terrace. If you like to have a special dinner, I made very good experience at the Fenchurch Restaurant. The menu was rather expensive, but it was very excellent and tasty.
So if you are in London, take your time and book your free ticket to the Sky Garden for a fantastic view. I have been there for about three times so far and it was always a highlight for me.
